Oversize Transport Permits

Standard dimensions ( no permit required )

  • Width: up to 3.5 m
  • Height: up to 4.5 m
  • Length:
  • up to 30 m if only the length is exceeded,
  • up to 24 m if the length and another dimension are exceeded.

Maximum permissible weight depending on axle configuration

Combination 2+3 axles:

  • tractor unit: 18 t
  • semi-trailer: 24 t
  • total: 42 t

Combination 3+3 axles:

  • tractor unit: 24 t
  • semi-trailer: 24 t
  • total: 48 t

Exceeding any of the above parameters (dimensions, gross mass, or axle loads) requires obtaining a permit for oversized transport.

Route permit

  • Validity: 1–3 months (depending on the authority’s decision).

Scope:

  • Multiple journeys possible – the permit may authorize several trips within a specified validity period.
  • Up to 4.5 m in width – the permit is issued for a specific route and a specific dimension.
  • Above 4.5 m in width – the permit includes the vehicle’s registration numbers, the route, and exact dimensions.

3–5 business days

It is not possible to extend the validity of a permit that has already been issued. In such a case, a new permit must be applied for.

Driving ban during peak hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 6:00–9:00 and 15:00–20:00
  • Friday: 6:00–9:00 and 15:00–24:00
  • Saturdays and public holidays: 10:00–18:00
  • Sundays and public holidays: 12:00–20:00

Cancellation costs depend on the stage of order processing and the timing of the cancellation in relation to the planned start of the escort operation.

The same principle applies to permit cancellations — the later the cancellation is made, the higher the potential costs, resulting from preparatory work already completed, submitted applications, and allocated resources.
