Oversize Transport Permits

A permit is required when any one of the following parameters is exceeded:

Tractor unit + semi-trailer (applies to indivisible loads, provided axle load limits are respected):

  • Length: 17,5 m 
  • Width: 2,64 m 
  • Height: 4,10 m 
  • Gross weight: 40 t 

Truck + trailer (applies to indivisible loads, provided axle load limits are respected):

  • Length: 18,75 m 
  • Width: 2,6 m 
  • Height: 4,10 m 
  • Gross weight: 40 t 

Single-use permit:

  • Valid for 7 days
  • Applies to one transport operation / one route

Monthly permit:

  • Maximum vehicle dimensions: 21,50 m x 3,55 m x 4,50 m 
  • Maximum gross weight: 48 t 
  • Minimum number of axles: 6 
  • Possibility to change the vehicle registration number during the validity period

Zezwolenie roczne: 

  • Maximum vehicle dimensions: 21,50 m x 3,55 m x 4,50 m 
  • Maximum gross weight: 48 t 
  • Minimum number of axles: 6 
  • Possibility to change the vehicle registration number during the validity period

2–4 business days

It cannot be extended – once the validity period has expired, a new permit application must be submitted.

Vehicle registration certificates

Determined depending on the size of the load; for exceptionally large vehicles, driving after 22:00 is usually prohibited, in accordance with the conditions specified in the permit.

Cancellation costs depend on the stage of order processing and the timing of the cancellation in relation to the planned start of the escort operation.

The same principle applies to permit cancellations — the later the cancellation is made, the higher the potential costs, resulting from preparatory work already completed, submitted applications, and allocated resources.

Escort is required when the vehicle exceeds any of the following parameters:

Total width:

  • 3,56–4,00 m → 1 escort vehicle
  • 4,01–4,50 m → 2 escort vehicles
  • above 4,51 m → 1 escort vehicle + police

Total length:

  • above 24 m→ 2 escort vehicles
  • above 30 m → 1 escort vehicle + police

Gross weight:

  • 65–70 t → depending on the route 
  • above 80 t → regardless of the route

Police and substitute services escort – from which parameters:

  • Total width: above 4,51 m → 1 escort vehicle + police
  • Total length: above 30,01 m → 1 escort vehicle + police
